Friday Roundup

Here's a roundup of some of the things I've been loving this week!

Bathing suits!  I haven't bought a new one in a couple/few years, but I've been seeing so many lovely ones that I may need to bite the bullet this year!
Left: Anthropologie   Right: J. Crew (found via Lulu Letty)

This adorable shop called Rare Indeed.

There's never a shortage of adorable dresses to browse.
Left: ModCloth   Right: Dear Creatures

This week was filled with thrifted treasures, dinner and coffee with friends (more of that to come tonight), and some special behind-the-scenes stuff I'll get to share more about next week.  Thank you to everyone who ordered from my Reloved shop.  There are still some things left for purchase and more will be coming soon!

Here's a little peek at my week via Instagram:
Have a wonderful weekend, friends!!  xoxo Katie

2.  I've been shopping for pretty planners lately and I'm smitten with this one

 3.  This little necklace from Poppy and Fern is the loveliest!

4.  The amazing embroidery of Lucky JacksonThis one KILLLLLLLSSSSS me!

5.  This whimsical necklace found via WishWishWish.

Happy Friday, folks!  I can't believe the weekend is here already and I REALLY can't believe that it's time for a sponsor call!  Soooo... if you are interested in sponsoring for the month of March, please see my sponsor page or email sponsorskunkboy@gmail.com.  You know I'd love to have you.  <3

I'll talk a little more about my tattoo next week and show you the original design.  Thank you all for the positive feedback.  I always get nervous about that stuff for some reason.  Have a great weekend!

Feature Friday: Baby On The Way

No, no... I do not have a baby on the way.  Let's just make that VERY clear.  I love my baby to pieces, but no more babies for Katie.  I'm talking about my friend Rachel's new e-course "Baby on the Way".  I've had the pleasure of seeing it first hand and I have to say, it's SO good!  I'm not just saying that because I love the gal, either.  It really has so many great projects!  My favorite part about this e-course is that it's not just for expecting families.  I plan on doing most of the projects for Poesy, and maybe a couple for some extra special baby gifts for friends.
Before I dove in I was feeling a little intimidated by all of the sewing that I thought I would need to do, but the projects are ones that I feel I can tackle... which is saying a lot for me, because I am pretty good these days at the hand stitching, but I am no expert when it comes to the sewing machine.

Anyway, I thought this course was so sweet that I wanted to share.  I'm pretty excited about the baby Christmas gifts I'll be sewing up this year.  Watch out, Poesy... mama's going for a handmade Christmas!  ;)

I hope your weekend is just wonderful, friends!  xoxo Katie

P.S.  I keep forgetting to announce the giveaway winner, so here she is:

P.P.S.  Did any of you see the end of that baseball game last night?  It was way too intense for me, but I'm glad the Cardinals won.  It makes my husband very happy.  ;)

Feature Friday: Favorites

1.  I can't believe it's taken me this long to blog about it, but my dear friend Vanessa from The Velvet Bird has started making some of the prettiest clothes!  She was sending me peeks throughout the process and I'm so excited about the lovely collection she produced!

2.  These hat stands from Mandy of Here's Looking at Me Kid are so good!  I've been needing some more hat storage, so you better believe I'll be making some of these!

 3.  I'm pretty sure everything on the Cakies blog could send you into cute overload, but these photos of Rubyellen and True are just darling!  I love Mommy-daughter photos.  I think Hope and I will have to do some next week!

4.  I meant to blog about this last week and totally forgot, but Elycia made the Red Velvet Girls into an adorable illustration!  I squealed a little when I saw it.  Thank you, Elycia!!

***She also did a very cute hairbow video, with a great method for shorter hair!  If you have shorter hair you should definitely check it out.

5.  I'm very thankful for this Pumpkin Seed how-to from Strumpet's Crumpets because (even though I may be in the minority here) I ALWAYS burn my pumpkin seeds.  Now I at least have a CHANCE at success.  ;)

I have some exciting things coming up next week!  I'm deeming it unofficial fashion week here on Skunkboy Creatures, complete with extra outfit posts and maybe even a DIY or two!
Happy Friday, everyone! I hope your weekend is wonderful!!  xoxo Katie

P.S.  The winner for the My Sweet November Giveaway is:
I've sent your email address over to Candy and she will be getting with you shortly!  <3

Feature Friday: Favorites

Here's another round of favorites I've gathered this week:

1.  I'm loving this coat from ASOS.  It's too bad that I have my eye on, like, 5 different coats for this winter:

2.  I'm so excited about my friend Diana's newest endeavor, Gadchick!  You can read all about it here.

3.  I had so much fun doing this guest post over on A Beautiful Mess this week!  I've loved seeing all of the hair bow pictures you've sent me!!

4.  I'm dying to try this cinnamon roll recipe that Holly used!  'Tis the season for treats (that's actually every season in my house)!

5.  I need to get my hands on one of these Danny Brito Chubby Books!

I hope you all have a great weekend!  We have more bonfires and baby showers to attend, so our schedule is full of fun!  xoxo Katie

Feature Friday: Good Finds

Yay, it's Friday!  That doesn't mean much to people who work through the weekend (like me), but there is just something exciting about Friday, anyway.  Maybe we've just been conditioned growing up in school to love the weekends, but I still do.  :)

For this Feature Friday I thought I'd share some crazy good things from around the web this week:

1.  Elsie gets double love.  The fishtail braid with the yarn is SO CUTE, and the lookbook just makes me grin.  The clothes are perfect, the song is perfect... oh, and every time I watch it I just want to squeeze Sarah.  She is so darn cute.

2.  I am so excited about this Tim Burton blog party coming next month!  Paper Sparrow is one of my favorite blogs (I'm stoked to have her as a sponsor this month!).  I thought the Wes Anderson blog party last month was so, so fun!

3.  I love these photo an hour posts from Kaylah and Elycia.  I love when blogger friends are real life friends (obviously) and they are totally adorable!

4.  This Mocktail recipe on Sunshine and Carousels looks so yummy!  I think I need to make this happen for myself soon.  ;)

5.  Oh, and I'm sure you'd like to know who won the Studio M.M.E. giveaway, right?  The winner is Jenni:
Jenni, I'll pass your info onto Megan and she'll get you your pattern.  Happy embroidering!

I hope you all have a great weekend!  We have a pretty full schedule, but I'm looking forward to it!  xoxo Katie

Feature Friday: Marie Bee

I actually found Marie Bee several weeks (or months?) ago, when I announced the winner of my little giveaway.  I emailed her about winning, checked out her blog, and was instantly smitten.  Her home is lovely, her family is completely charming, and her jewelry is gorgeous.  Here's a little taste:

(I love little Ephraim.)
I would encourage anyone to check out her blog and her shop.  They are truly beautiful.

Here's wishing you a fantastic weekend!  I have some serious bowling fever, so I'm hoping to make that happen tonight! Happy Friday!  xoxo Katie

Feature Friday: Caitlin Shearer

As many of you know, I'm a huge Caitlin Shearer fan.  I think her work is beautiful and unique, and I wouldn't be at all opposed to living in it!  I just found out recently that she also does custom portraits, and I'm over the moon excited to save my pennies and request one!

You can find her shop here, and her blog here.  I hope you enjoy browsing her work as much as I do.  :)
Happy Friday, friends!  xo. Katie

Feature Friday: Huckleberry Vintage

There are so many beautiful vintage shops on the internet, but one of my very favorites is Huckleberry Vintage.  The shop is packed with beautiful things and Miss Kala has me eaten up with serious hair envy!

And some I'm sad I missed:

Kala has a really great blog where she posts outfit photos and other fun stuff.  I love outfit photos.

I hope your weekend is just super!  Mine is busy, busy-- jam packed with lots of fun things!  I'll be back on Saturday to announce the giveaway winner!  xoxo Katie
