Snapshots Snapshots Snapshots snapshots Snapshots Snapshots Snapshots candles Snapshots
As you can see, we've been spending lots of time around the house lately.  Actually, that's only half true-- I think I've stopped carrying my camera around with me when we go out lately.  I haven't been very inspired in the photo department, which is just fine.  For me, that comes in waves, and I'm sure it will come back soon(ish).

**Poe wanted to paint her nails herself this week.  Big kid.
**The weather has cooled and we've been spending many cozy nights on the porch again.
**I treated myself to Lykke Wullf overall shorts because it was necessary.
**Our band has been learning lots of new songs lately, so this is a pretty regular sight.
**Tea party girls (from a few weeks back).
**Citronella candles are a must this time of year.
**I've been borrowing this beauty of a guitar from our best pal lately, and I never ever want to give it back.  We've bonded.  ;)

What is your photo inspiration like?  Does it come in waves like me, or do you have things to help you stay constantly inspired?  If you have any tips for staying motivated, I'd love to hear them!  xo.

  1. I love your little glimpse into everyday life around your home!

I find that I'm the same way when it comes to photography. I definitely love it and have a passion for capturing stills, but I can become burnt out, there was once a period of 3 months that I just couldn't be bothered to pick up the ol' camera. It always makes the times when I'm super inspired such a joy to be cherished, though!

  2. It definitely comes in waves for me, too. I find myself more often than not relying on my iPhone and then I feel guilty for my poor, dusty SLR. That's usually when I bribe my 8-year-old son into doing some ridiculous photo shoot with me. It's not easy being my kid! :)

  5. Firstly, I love your house! I wish mine looked like that!!

Secondly, yes my photography inspiration comes in waves too. Lately it's gotten me down thinking just how few I've taken. So I'm forcing myself to grab my camera, even if I don't feel like it when I leave the house, I find that while I'm out I'll suddenly be really thankful I brought it when I see something I want to take a picture of, it's sort of working :)

    Much love

  6. I instantly related to that first photo of Poe. Whenever I was little, I would paint my nails myself because it was fun! But then I would do a horrible job and I didn't want to wait for it to dry. So I would paint all my nails and then go straight to the bathroom to wash it off.

  7. Adore these photos. So sweet. My photo inspiration does the same. There will be a few weeks when I take TONS of photos and then a couple weeks when I take very few. It helps when I have a constant stream of inspiration (like an art class or something) and a regular schedule.
