Let's Write A Letter

I have slacked on the snail mail front for far too long now.  I just picked up these notecards with the intention of sending out little "hello, I'm thinking of you" letters to some of my wonderful, far-away friends and I figured, why not share here on the blog and challenge some of you to do the same?  I have some amazing people in my life who mail me little things periodically, and it just makes my whole day to get that little something in the mail.  So, let's take a little time out of our day and send a little love to someone who means a lot to us.  Want to join in?  xo.

  1. Snail mail is the best!
It feels great to write meaningful words on paper and mail them to a friend!
I think I will write a couple letters today too!

  2. love this idea. i'm going to write a letter to my brother- he moved to seattle last october and i haven't seen him since. i miss him very much.

  3. Definitely in! These are so cute! Where did you find the cards?

  4. What a great idea! For sure I love it to join ... not only as I had in the past about 100 pen friends which deserve after decades to get a real letter from me :)
    xx from Germany/Bavaria, Rena

  5. where did you grab these?
i started doing snail mail a while ago and so far i have 2 people that im constant with but i have had a hard time finding just hello cards.
theyre all usually happy birthday or get well cads.
    i love these!

  6. .....wait. i see the Hallmark.

i used to work there. i loooove that place! not sure why i didnt think of it.

  7. This is a wonderful idea! I live in Italy and some of my dearest friends live in US, so I like to randomly send them some letters. Oh, and I also LOVE receive them :)

  8. I totally agree with you. Some of my friends are so great with the random hand written letters and somehow getting a note in the mail just feels so much better than a virtual letter. Thanks for this reminder!

  9. I'm in! Now that I've been out of college for a few years, my friends have dispersed all over the country (and even internationally!) and this challenge seems like just what I may need right now.

    Thanks for bringing it up!

  12. I love this challenge! I definitely go through phases where I'm better at this, but lately I have been slacking. I have a whole drawer of adorable cards just sitting there. Thanks for the inspiration to sit down and fill them!

  13. already did before you posted this blog post! lol. :-) i like snail mails so much! i have penpals from all over the world. getting personal letters is just so lovely! :"3

    xoxo, rae

  14. My husband and i just moved from NY to TX- leaving ALL of our family and friends behind. I love writing letters back home...always feels so much more personal than an email or text.

  15. Love this! Snail mail is the best kind of mail and I'm glad other's feel the same way about it too!
I took some time on Monday to write out 5 letters to some of my near (& far) & dear ones and it was the first time I had done that in over 6 months! And hot dang, did it feel good!!!

  19. I am such a huge snail mail nerd!!
I love it. I usually send out around 3 per week :)
    It warms my heart!

Also, it does help that my best friend runs a really wonderful stationery business. So, I am always obsessing over my newly designed stationery.

  20. I love this idea.
I have some left over thank-you notes from a project I worked on with my friends. I had just decided to send them to special people when I saw this post.
Is it sweet or creepy that we strangers had the same idea?

Happy Thursday to you, though. :)

  21. Those look so cute! I need to get my stationary fix!
Can someone explain what "snail mail" means? Thanks!

  22. I have written letters since I was 8 ... and just never stopped.
