Whew.  We are FINALLY done packing things and moving them from the house.  Our friends have been SO AMAZING through all of this.  We seriously would be sitting in the driveway crying right now if they all hadn't pitched in the way they have.  If I were to start my "list of thanks" right now, they would be number 1.

So, as I mentioned last week, I went to Springfield two different times on top of my crazy week.  I had a couple of photo shoots with those Red Velvet gals-- here are some peeks from one of them (the other was for a magazine that won't be out until March).

(photos taken by Jeremy and Elsie)
True, I was busy, but who could pass up the opportunity to hang out in an airstream for part of the day?!  It was crazy windy and a ton of fun.  I may or may not have a tiny case of the airstream wants.  ;)  You can see more of the photos over on Elsie's blog!

If you have emailed me and haven't heard back, don't worry!  I'm taking the next two days to get all caught up!  I'm off to... not pack.  ;)  xoxo Katie

  1. I just wanted to let you know that your blog has quickly become a favorite of mine. :) I even took inspiration from a hairdo you did a little while back, and recreated it this last Sunday. :) I'll definitely be doing it again. Good luck w the packing (or not packing) and email catch up!

  2. I love that photoshoot. So cute! Can't wait to see the magazine. xo, rv

  6. Great to hear about your succesful packing! It can become an awful experience if you don't have the proper help... glad you had it! :D

My worst experience of packing was when I moved out of my parents' house. I got a delayed notice and had to pack in an afternoon! Of course, I have the one tenth of what a family of four has, but it was my first REALLY anxious piece of packing :P

Still... there's nothing like the first time you see all your things unpacked in the new house. I'm sure you are going to enjoy the new house very much! Because, it's true, as you said, the old one has the very special "Firsts"... but the new home will have other kind of "firsts"! Just imagine how many "firsts" there will be when your girls grow up some more! :)

I wish you a lovely life full of awesome "firsts" and "seconds" and "thirds" (and and and...) in that lovely new home! <3

  7. By the way - LOVE that bow of yours in the last photo! SO cute!
