Girl Power

Today, I'm very excited to be partnering with Schoola to share a little bit about the Malala Fund with you!  As a refresher, Schoola is a company that takes 40% of all sales from their gently used clothing selection for women and children, and gives it back to schools.  Right now, proceeds from the Malala Fund go to support girls' education projects in some of the most vulnerable communities around the world.  The Malala Fund works to secure girls' rights to a minimum of 12 years of quality education, particularly in the global south.


All of our outfits came new, with tags, from Schoola.  Hope is wearing a dress from the Tea Collection, Poesy is wearing pants and a top from the Gymboree collection, and my dress is from the ModCloth collection.  All of these items benefit the Malala Fund.

Back To School Shopping!

A lot of people ask what our back-to-school traditions are like, since we do schooling at home.  Just like other kids getting ready to return to school, we buy up supplies and go school clothes shopping.  I've always been pretty into second hand clothing, especially for growing kiddos, so we've gotten quite a bit of the girls' fall wardrobe from Schoola.  I've mentioned it before, but Schoola is a great resource for back-to-school shopping.  You can find gently used clothing at good prices AND 40% of what you spend goes back to schools.  If you are interested, you can read more about Schoola here and here in my previous posts.

Give Back

A few months back, I shared a little bit about how you can raise money for schools while shopping for your kiddos with Schoola.  I'm excited to be working with Schoola again, as they've just announced the launch of their women's section!  Now, you can shop for yourself AND help raise money for schools!

Right now, Schoola is having a $100K challenge.  The goal is to help raise $100,000 for schools in June when you shop the new women's apparel category.  For every $5 spent, Schoola will donate $2 of that to schools, in order to save things like art, music, and P.E.  You can check out the selection right here!

I'll be the first to admit that I had a lot of hard years in middle school and high school.  I honestly don't know what I would have done without outlets like art class and choir.  Supporting these types of classes is something very near and dear to my heart.  I'm thankful for companies such as Schoola, that not only offer affordable clothing for all ages, but give you the opportunity to help out schools at the same time.

Raise Money for Schools with Schoola

I don't know if you've heard about Schoola yet, but it's a great new online shop that sells gently used children's clothing. Since I'm as frugal as they come when it comes to kids' clothes, I'm already a big fan. Another reason I feel great standing behind Schoola is that 40% of the proceeds go back to schools. Schoola is running a campaign right now called #PassTheBag, where you can donate clothes to benefit your own school or home school organization. I also love the idea of the girls choosing which clothes they'd like to donate, as it helps them get excited about giving to others.
