Weekend Hijinx

How do you remedy a hard day?  Get out and have some fun!  Friday, we decided to get some coffee and then go bowling.  I have to say, in my family I'm pretty much the master at bowling.  Never mind the fact that Hope is 8 and Johnny has always been terrible.  I rule.

See?  Fun, fun!  On top of all of this bowling bliss, I also:

*Made a new friend this week (This is big for me. I am shy.)
*Completed some very special custom animals.  :)
*Listened to the new Radiohead album.
*Found a place that has half price sushi on Thursdays (which is official date night).
*Acquired pretty vintage saddle shoes from Johnny's mama (thank you, Vickie!).

Happy weekend!  *hugs and bugs*Katie

  5. Cute saddle shoes! +1 to being shy and it's a big deal if I make a friend. Surprised to hear you are shy though. How do you manage to get on stage and perform? Would love to see some footage of you on music Monday sometime.

  6. Like everyone else I love those shoes.

What are you thinking of the new Radiohead album? So far it is doing very little for me. Maybe it requires more listening.

    Happy weekend

  16. Your family is the cutest!

I love the moccasins! I'm on the hunt for the perfect pair.

I know how it is to be shy! I have so much trouble talking to people but I'm pushing myself to be more friendly. Funny that my job is very people-focused and I have no trouble with that, but trying to talk to new people outside of work is much harder!

  17. Melissa- being shy + being on stage has proved to be disastrous a time or two. It's taken me a lot of years to get comfortable and confident enough to push out most of the nervousness and just have fun.

Rachel- I'm really enjoying "King of Limbs". It's a really great way-too-early-in-the-morning album when I have to get up and feed Poe. Have you seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHS3ci9H_Uc A friend tipped us off to this. It's HILARIOUS!!!
