Dreaming of You...

I live smack in the middle of Missouri.  This means once a year when we visit the ocean it's a really special thing for us.  We have about a month and a half left and then we get to play, play, play!  Right now I'm dreaming of the ocean...

  2. Its been forever since i've been to the sea. I'd love to go back. My favorite place to go was the Gulf. Now its ruined :o(

On a lighter note, one of my favorite things to do at the beach is write "You're at work" in the sand, take a pic of it on my phone, and text it to coworkers. Hehe.

  6. I would love to see the beach. My favorite beaches in the world (actually favorite place in the world) are in Key West, FL. So far they are safe, but who knows by the time I can get back down there :(

Well, I have a family reunion in Orlando, Disney World and the new Harry Potter theme park to look forward to in a month!

  8. Hi! I discovered your blog linked from another one (linked from another blog, etc... can you tell I'm wasting time on the internet?)

Anyway, your creatures are BEAUTIFUL!!!! Absolutely stunning!

And the beach is absolutely my favorite place in the world. I grew up in Virginia, right on the Chesapeake Bay, so the beach was right around the corner whenever I wanted it, and now that we've moved to central Maryland (only an hour or so away from beach!) the lack of beach is depressing. I can hardly imagine what it'd be like to live far from the beach...

I do remember when I was little and some relatives came to visit from Kansas or something and they had NEVER seen beach before. It completely blew my seven-year-old mind.

  9. gosh, I'm such a spoiled brat that i forget what others have to go through to see the beach. I live in Ventura, California (1 mile) from the beach. I see it on every freeway and smell the crisp morning fresh sea air on the way to work every day and i need to remember to be grateful for that.

  14. Very summery, makes me wish I was on holidays already. I always find it very sad when I don't see the ocean or sea during my summer holidays as well

  15. I passed through Missouri, on the way back from California (all the way back to North Carolina) and it wasn't as bad as Nebraska. For some reason I just didn't like it. It seemed to have the most surpreme flatness out of any of the states I drove through (and I took different routes to Cali and then back).

The beach is always a fun trip though. I drove down the winding roads to famous Santa Cruz, and it was kind cool, the whole like boardwalk was cool, but it was kind of trashy too. Lovely clean beaches are the best though. Especially that first step into the squishy wet sand.

  19. Oh! I grew up in a beach town and then moved away, and when I was old enough to set out on my own, I moved right smack as close to the ocean as I could!! Beaches are so wonderful and necessary fun in the warm months. :) It'll be here before you know it!
