Tuesday is My Monday

I love Mondays for many reasons, so when Tuesdays roll around, I usually feel like that's the day I love the least.  Today was different.  I did some morning sewing, painted my nails yellow, listened to records, and really enjoyed my day.  It was a nice change.

So, I made this comment on Twitter last night about Music Mondays (if you were on, I'm sure you saw it) not being the most fantastic for me, and I had no idea what was coming after that!  So many of you assured me of how much you love Music Mondays and begged me not to quit, and I realized that when I don't see comments I just assume no one is reading or no one likes, but it seems to be untrue.  I need to have more confidence in blogging and just be willing to believe people are there, whether I can see them or not.  ;))  All that said, I WILL still be doing it, at least for a time.  Hopefully that is a good thing.  :)

Isn't my girl lovely?  She had a bit of customization yesterday, and now I'm so in love with her.  Can you help me find a name?  I want something different, but not one that sounds like it's trying too hard.  Know what I mean?  Oh, my goodness!  There have been so many GREAT suggestions.  Can I please give her 20 names?  No?  Okay.  I pick Olive.  It's perfect!  Thanks Kizmo!!!

Anyway, have a super night.  My agenda:  finish hedgehog, custom giraffe, 2 owls, and another snail.  We'll see how it goes.  ;)  *loves*Katie

  12. I actually went and bought two Bowerbirds albums off itunes this morning. Had never heard of them, but LOVE what I've heard so far. I know Becca Shuler we became friends a few years ago when we had a class together...and we used to talk music all the time...so I knew that any friend of Becca's would have good taste! I am a regular reader, I just forget to comment because I usually read at work via my google reader.

  13. I do love Music Mondays also!

When I saw your new doll, I instantly thought of the name, Seraphina. It's derived from the boy name, Seraphim which means "fiery ones"!

  18. I just wanted to say that I just started following you blog, and I know you get a lot of traffic on it. Somehow it is really comforting to know that a big time blogger like yourself still has doubts about their posts when they don't get any comments.

On the music monday's...IT ROCKS!! Glad to hear it will stay around for awhile.

  19. I didn't know that you were thinking about quitting the whole Music Monday feature. I don't have a twitter because I'm cool (uncool to others) like that.

But I know what you mean about not receiving comments and doubting yourself. I never get comments on my blog, and I ask myself if I really need to keep going with it.

Your Blythe doll is adorable, and she does need an adorable name. One name I think is cute is Lidia Jean, which is actually a name of a girl I work with (she would find this creepy), but it might suit your baby girl. Or maybe Ophelia? I adore that name.

  20. One of my blogger friends has a little daughter named Ellerie. Such a cute name--unique without sounding totally made up.

  34. I don't think I've ever commented before(?) BUT I check your blog a few times a day. I try to justify this because of the time difference between the US and Australia. I check just in case you've added something while I was asleep...or at work...or just because I'm addicted... I bet there are heaps of lurkers just like me so never let a lack of comments bother you!

  35. I find your blog to be incredibly inspiring. You really have no idea… Stumbling across Skunkboy was what inspired me to try to learn how to sew… Not that I could ever be a quarter talented as you. I enjoy your posts and look forward to them!

p.s. Didn’t even know about Coconut Records ‘til your post last Monday… Can’t get enough now…thnx :)

  37. It's great that you're gonna keep up with music monday, I always looove what you recommend! Too bad there isn't a feature on blogger that makes it possible for people just to click 'like' under a post, I mean sometimes you just don't have anything fun to write even though you're excited over the update.
Hope you'll be having an even greater wednesday!
