Oh, Max

I hopped over to this site today. I had no idea that the super cutie who stole my heart in "Where the Wild Things Are" has been in a Cake video ANNND a Death Cab video. He's amazing. And adorable. And now I wanna see that movie again. :)

"Stable Song" with Max Records from We Love You So on Vimeo.

I love that song. We did built a fort, but we missed the contest (not that we would've entered). I promise pictures eventually, we are just taking our time adding things to make it soooo pretty. :) Tomorrow. <3 Katie

P.S. Thanks for the tips and emails about the raincoat. I think we found one! Yay! I knew I could count on you. ;)

Tidbits

I'm about to run out the door right now, but I'd thought I would go ahead and drop by instead of doing it later and run the risk of getting sucked into the computer. I hope you all are having a lovely week. Mine has been strange and stressful, but somehow exactly what I've been needing. I'm very guilty of easily getting cabin fever, but since the weather has become much cooler, I find myself appreciating my time at home and even getting to squeeze in a few "just for fun" crafts. Here's where I spent most of my afternoon today:

Yep, nowhere special, just my darkish living room. I sat in the floor listening to records, and did some finger weaving and made some more poms for an autumn garland I'm working on. It was delightful. Here's a sneak peek at something else I'm working on:

I should have it finished tomorrow. I'm sure you can figure out what it is, but I think it's going to be just darling once finished. My friend Tara came over last night. I showed her my owl mugs last week, and guess what she brought me! These:

Now I have a very complete set! If you know of more pieces, don't share-- I don't think my counter can hold any more! :D One more tidbit and then I must go, Hope is going to be Coraline for Halloween and we CANNOT find a regular yellow raincoat anywhere (for less than $80, anyway). If you have one that I can buy from you or borrow, I will pay all shipping costs. Email me or leave a comment if you can help. Thanks, my dearest lovely friends. I'll be seeing you tomorrow. :) xoxo Katie xoxo

I Heart My Bike!

Today was SO gorgeous here in MO. I've been working myself to the point of passing out at night, just so I can enjoy the days without work hanging over my head. When I looked out the window this morning, I was patting myself on the back for being such a smart girl. ;) I got out the bike, and here's what I did:

It was glorious, and relaxing, and everything I needed. Now, I get to deal with a major screw up on my part, regarding work. Oh, to go back in time 3 hours... I hope you have a good night! xo Katie

Brooches and Skirts

Just a note to let you know that the snail brooches are finally in the shop!

I'm so excited about this-- I just bought this Dainty June skirt!

I can't wait till it comes! Today I spent the day with a little sickie girl and an extra sweet husband. I cleared out the clutter from Hope's room, and rebuilt the fort that we put up the day after we saw Where the Wild Things Are. Her room looks so pretty now, we just had to build it prettier to match! It will be up for a while, so I'll have to take some pictures soon.

It's time for tucking in and then working on some new stuff, so I'm here and gone. Have a snuggly night! <3 Katie
