This drippy snowcone guy really knows what's what. That's basically what you feel like when you decide you are going to out and plant some flowers out in the heat of the day... in the summer... in Missouri. I was outside for, like, 5 minutes and decided that's a task for dusk. Lesson learned. Duh. I did pick up some beautiful daisies, though, and I was excited to get them in the ground. They are going to be so lovely!
Shirt: Culture Flock Clothing; Shorts (yes, they're shorts!): c/o ModCloth; Shoes: BC Shoes; Glasses: c/o BonLook
This is an outfit I threw on to go OUT to work this week. You can find my other Out To Work outfits here.

Out To Work
I probably wear this dress 3 or more times a week right now. I'm really into simple clothes lately, and a black tank dress is about as simple and effortless as it comes. I decided to dress it up with this crocheted top... mostly so people don't notice as quickly that I am starting to wear a uniform. ;) I wore this outfit when I went out to work this week.
Dress: Local; Tank: c/o ChicWish; Necklace: PoshLocket; Glasses: c/o BonLook (La Marquise in Crystal Sand); Shoes: c/o ShoeDazzle
I hope you're having a great week so far!!

Out To Work
Shirt: Urban Outfitters (clearance!); Jeans: Marshall's; Necklace (my very favorite): Olivia Mew; Shoes: c/o ShoeMint; Headband: Under Those Neon Lights
I'm pretty sure I've worn some version of this outfit for too many days now. I've been wearing more jeans lately. I don't know if my style is evolving or I'm just sick of wearing tights ALL THE TIME, but I have been finding myself in pants a lot. That's not to say I'm turning on dresses. I still feel most comfortable in a dress. :)
Btw, how cute is this headband? My sweet friend Ashley hand-beads these gorgeous headbands. I'm totally impressed.
I'll be sharing more of our upstairs in the next week or two. As you can see, I still have some work to do, but I'm ready to share our progress.

Out To Work
Shirt: c/o ModCloth; Sweater: ModCloth (last year); Tank: Marshall's; Jeans: Levi's; Boots: Hunter; Glasses: BonLook (La Marquise)
Here's a big fat living room spoiler. I've been waiting for the sun to show its face so I can get some good photos of our living room, but when your work outfit matches your home decor, you kinda have to show it off. This is what I wore to work at ABM this week.

Out To Work
It's snowing outside right now. I know a lot of you have already gotten your fair share of snow, but here in Missouri we're still waiting for our one big snow of the season. Some years we get it, some years it passes us by. I don't know if this will be "the one" but for now it sure is pretty.
This is something I wore to work at ABM last week. It wasn't snowing then... otherwise I wouldn't have chanced ruining my darling booties.

Out To Work
Shirt & Sweater: Marshall's; Jeans: Levi's; Shoes: American Eagle; Scarf: Red Velvet
Oh, this girl. If there is a camera around, she automatically thinks it's for her. I am definitely not complaining-- I wouldn't have it any other way.
I was attempting an "Out To Work" post, but as soon as Poe decided she was done being IN the pictures, she walked into her room and said, "Pay me, Mommy!" (That's "Play with me, Mommy." in case you aren't fluent in Poesy speak.) So, I abandoned my photos and used my last bit of before-work morning time to do just that. You get the general idea anyway, right? ;)

Out To Work
Tunic: c/o Asian iCandy; Sweater: Free People; Jeans: Levi's'; Glasses: BonLook; Belt: c/o Asian iCandy; Shoes: UO; Hat: thrifted
Okay, snapping pictures first thing in the morning (AND SMILING) has proven to be a lot harder than I originally thought. I just wanted to document my more casual outfits for work, but I can be a huge baby in the morning. Speaking of babies...
Babies just know they are cute. I'm pretty certain of this.

Out To Work
Going out of the house for work 3 days a week has really changed the clothes I've bought in the last couple of months. I'm often hunkered down on the floor or covered in some project's mess (see here), so I've been trying to find that balance of comfy and functional while still feeling proud of what I'm wearing. Plus, there's probably a chance that I used to get dressed for the day a lot less when I was just sewing at home. ;)) Here's something I wore to work last week:
Sweater: c/o Emerging Thoughts; Shorts (they look like a skirt, right?), Tights, and Shoes: ModCloth; Scarf: vintage (See how I also styled the shorts here and the shoes here.)
I typically wear clothes that I wouldn't mind seeing a paint splotch on here or there, but if I'm being totally honest, I probably would have been extra sad to see this sweater get messy. I love it. Sometimes you just have to be extra careful. ;)
