Apple Picking

As it turns out, we almost missed apple picking season this year.  We've been planning on going for weeks now, but haven't found the time until this week.  I'm so glad we made it before the apples were gone because this was seriously one of my most favorite days EVER.

Poesy didn't stop chomping apples the entire time we were there.  She was in heaven.  Hope's tree climbing skills came in super handy, as well as her extreme pickiness when it comes to choosing the perfect apple.  ;)

Apple picking is a definite must for us from now on.  Next year we'll start earlier so we can go more than once!  I'm looking forward to making apple pie (we make a mean one) and trying my hand at apple butter this weekend.  Hello, new traditions!

  4. Absolutely, a great new tradition. I don't think there are places like this in NYC. At moments like this, I wish I had car -because NJ is just full of farms and I love them!

  11. Such a cute family! I like apple picking but don't do it because I actually don't really like apples that much. I know, I'm weird, but they just go to waste in my kitchen. I stick to berry picking in the summer.

  14. Apple picking is becoming one of my favorite Fall traditions. My favorite apple dessert to make are apple scones. I would strongly suggest trying them.

  24. Oh so fun! I love that she keeps chomping on them. When I was a kid I would do that when we went strawberry picking--who am I kidding--I still do it.
