Seasons Change

I was looking through photos last night, and I have to say, it's amazing to watch these two grow.  I think I'm realizing now more than ever, that life is just a series of seasons.  One day, the season where I have my little girls in my house will change and they will be grown, doing their own things and having their own lives.  I'm accepting of this, and I even smile when I think about it, but I'm wondering:  can time please just slow down a little?  Like, just a teeny tiny bit?

  1. Seriously...it's kinda heart wrenching. My little one is Poe's age (seriously, they are like two days apart) and I can't believe how fast the past couple years have gone. I just want to soak it all up, breathe him in...and maybe keep him this size and carry him around in my pocket forever...just maybe :)

  4. I get that feeling a lot lately, too.
I'm both excited for the future and nostalgic about the past. I just try not to think about both of it too much and enjoy the here and now.

  5. I know the feeling! There's that pull between wanting to keep them small and yours forever and the excitement at watching their own independent lives develop. =)

  6. Awww, I think you're so right. When I have children I imagine I'll be wishing for time to slow a little as well.
