52 Treats: V.3

For our 3rd week of treats, we made a recipe out of the book "A Year of Pies" by Ashley English.   I have to say, these were GOOD pies.  Really, really good pies.  I had to give a bunch away (we made more than the recipe called for) so I didn't end up eating waaaaay too many pies.  Plus, sharing home baked goods with friends/neighbors is the best.

I'm looking forward to making so many more pies out of this book.  I'm pretty sure my family is looking forward to this as well.  ;)

  1. Yum,they look scrumptious! Reminds me of the pumpkin pasties Mrs. Weasley makes in Harry Potter. :)

  2. Those apple pies look so good. I'm a lover of baking and cooking. Hope you do well with the 52 Challenge, I'm doing it also with self portraits and also a 365 Photo a Day Challenge.

  3. Love that they are not baked in a pie dish and just free hand. Can you make other pies this way?
