We are a family with almost no family photos. I don't know why, we just never really make/have made time for them. It's a joke in our house that the best photo we've ever taken as a family is our Goldilocks portrait. ;))
When we got dressed all nice to head over to Friendsgiving hosted by Elsie and Emma, I knew this was one of the rare occasions that needed to be documented. We don't dress up all that often, really. After we stuffed ourselves silly (and Poesy ate alllllll the Jell-O that was made for the kids), Elsie came out and snapped a few photos for me. I had to tickle sugar-baby to even get a smile, because she wasn't in the mood to be held (she's a BIG GIRL, you know). But I'm glad to have these. AND, that middle picture cracks me up! Almost like they planned it...
I think one of my 2014 goals will be getting more family pictures taken. I have lots with the girls + me and lots with the girls + Johnny, but I need more with all of us. Even if someone blinks in every single one. ;)

New Ornaments
Any time I finish an animal Poesy will come over and say, "Did you make this for meeee?? Awww, I love him so much! He's sooooo cuuuute! Can you make me sumthing, mama??" *melt* She gets to keep that bear... obviously. ;)

Night Scene
I found these photos hiding in my computer from last winter. I can't believe how tiny Poesy looks and how warm and happy these make me feel. I don't take many pictures at night because lighting is tough, but I'm glad I decided to this night because this is a good "real" peek into our everyday. I captured Poe playing in her room by herself, like she does so often when the day has slowed down and things are quiet. It's a good reminder that the "unusable" pictures sometimes turn out be favorites.
