Night Scene

I found these photos hiding in my computer from last winter.  I can't believe how tiny Poesy looks and how warm and happy these make me feel.  I don't take many pictures at night because lighting is tough, but I'm glad I decided to this night because this is a good "real" peek into our everyday.  I captured Poe playing in her room by herself, like she does so often when the day has slowed down and things are quiet.  It's a good reminder that the "unusable" pictures sometimes turn out be favorites.

  2. These may not be as "usable" as we like to think, but they are cozy and they set a mood and make me feel like cuddling up with tea and blankets and a good book. In that way, they are perfect. Sometimes natural light doesn't capture what we actually want it to. Thanks for sharing!

  11. I don't know why you would think these are unusable! Even though you may think it's not the best lighting ever, I love how comfy and cozy it makes the moment feel. So perfect! :)

  12. So true! I often get so caught up in technicalities of a photo that it is easy to forget what pictures are for. Not everything is technically sound and that's okay so long as the photo serves its purpose of capturing a memory.

    Sweet little Poe!

  14. I like the fact that she is playing with "vintage" toys and she's not glued to a computer game or TV. Good for you!

  19. As someone else mentioned, I think its great that you select older, simple, yet stimulating toys for Poe. Its just really refreshing to see a room like that. Beautiful set of photos. Poe is so sweet.
