Weekly Wears: Summer Flora

Weekly Wears Weekly Wears weekly wears Weekly Wears Weekly Wears weekly wears
We've had a few crazy hot days around here, but for the most part, this has been a mild and lovely summer.  It's been the perfect weather for breezy dresses and shoes with cut-outs-- my favorites!  I basically haven't taken these grown up jellies off since I got them.  I spent almost my entire childhood/preteen years wearing jellies (with socks, ugh) and I'm pretty sure I could spend the next 20 years in them.  They are such fun, happy-making shoes!

I'm not always a pink girl.  I think I can list all of the pink items in my closet on one hand.  That being said, sometimes it's nice to step out of your norm and throw something exciting on.  This dress is the perfect mix between comfortable babydoll silhouette and non-typical color for me.  I love it!

How do you mix up your summer wardrobe?  I've been acquiring lots more separates again (shorts, skirts, tops) to keep from getting bored with the same dresses in my closet.  They are much easier to mix and match and keep fresh!

  1. So in love with jellies this season! Though, I bought mine super cheap and I'm paying for it now ):

I've been really into making shirt dresses/tops from L/XL Hanes tees. I'm naughty and draw simple designs that I get from inspiration. But other than that I end up hoarding shoes and accessories through the summer ~

  9. You look so pretty! I absolutely love that dress. And the jellies? Amazing! I used to have some when I was a kid (didn't we all?) and I never imagined them coming back into style, but I am SO down :)

  11. Ah, jelly beans! I used to have a pink glittery heeled pair, back when I was 16. I made my dad buy me them on Oxford Street in London & I LOVED them!
