Snapshots

This week has definitely had its ups and downs.  I've been trying to find a home for our big move in September, and though I thought I found "the one", I was wrong and it ended up being someone else's future home.  That's okay, though.  Sometimes you think you know exactly what you want until you actually get what you want... even if you didn't know it at the time.  I'm hoping that's the case.

We have house guests all weekend, so I'm off to entertain... and eat waffles.  Because waffles and friends are just about the best things I can think of.  :)

  1. Pretty, pretty heart clips! You sound like you're being both realistic and hopeful about the stress of the home search. I hope that something wonderful pops up for you and your family, quickly :)

  4. What a philosophical way of looking at things, there's no point in stressing the things we can't change. Good luck with the house hunt.Rx

  6. I love that first picture- very cool! You are much more of a sport than I would be if lost a place I wanted. So tough, but you're right that it always works out the way it's supposed to and your home is out there! Happy waffle eating.

    1. I use a Canon 20d, but most of these were taken with a 17-35mm f/2.8 lens. :)

  10. Everyone is on the home search these days. We'be been in our home for going on 9years which is a record for us since my husband is a contractor and we used to move every 2 years. I don't miss those days. I hope you find the home that you want to raise your girls in like we did.

  12. I know how feel about your home - it's a disappointment but when you find the perfect one you'll be thankful the other one didn't work out! Your pictures just made me so excited to go to Maine next weekend - saltwater taffy and fudge? I die!

  15. So sorry to hear about the house. Unfortunately, these things do happen. But when you find the perfect house for you, you'll feel it in your bones that this is the right home for your family.

By the way, I did have a question for you. I just recently dyed my hair an auburn red color and I saw your post in A Beautiful Mess about keeping red hair healthy and vibrant. You mentioned using sulfate free shampoo, but even the color safe shampoos that I have checked out all have sulfate of some kind as a main ingredient. Do you have any suggestion as to what to use that is gentle on my hair, as well as my wallet. Thanks so much Katie!
