Yep.  Two Weekly Wears posts in one week.  It happens occasionally, I suppose.  ;)

We are off to celebrate our wedding anniversary today!  I can't tell you how much I love these special days... any reason to celebrate and do fun things is a winner in my book!

Weekly Wears: Warm in Wool

Those of you who will celebrating Thanksgiving in just a day, are you ready???  We have everyone coming to our place this year (I still won't be doing the cooking) and we are desperately trying to get our things in order... you know... to fool everyone into thinking we are tidier than we actually are.  ;)  It's a thing:  FRANTIC SPEED CLEANING.

Weekly Wears: Extra Fancy

I have been looking for any excuse to use my new sewing machine lately.  My plush gig is mostly a hand-sewn job, so I've been delving into the pile of fixer-uppers.  I bought this dress online recently and it was most unflattering on me.  And while my sewing machine skills may be slightly lacking, it was fun altering it all the same.  Plus, a bow tie makes every dress feel extra fancy.  ;)

While the dress looked great on her, it was less than stellar on me.  I removed the sleeves, slimmed the body (because the bust was too big), and changed the neckline.  There you have it-- an unwearable dress turned wearable!  :)

Weekly Wears: Woodland Creatures

The best part about being pregnant last Fall (you know, besides the resulting baby) is loving all of my Fall clothes all over again.  I mean, I did take a year off from them.  ;)

This was my first Dear Creatures dress, and I still love it as much as the first day it showed up on my doorstep (I'm currently reminding myself that it's a dress, not a puppy).  There is something magical about getting a special dress every now and then.  This one was a prize for 500 Etsy sales (I think).

I wore this dress for our date last week.  We ended the night in a smokey bar watching a really fun band.  Most of the members of said band were able to take advantage of the senior discount at the Golden Corral up the street.  It was great.

Weekly Wears: Coffee Break

The weather here in Missouri has been AMAZING.  I don't want to rub it in if you are in an area that is still blazing hot... just know that sooner or later you'll be enjoying this perfect weather where you are! 

We've been taking walks, having picnics on blankets, trampoline-ing... basically, anything we can do outside, we are doing.  Oh yeah... and the coffee!  PERFECT COFFEE WEATHER.  (What weather isn't perfect coffee weather, really?)

Johnny shot these pictures for me two days ago.  Yesterday I got my bangs cut.  I'm actually glad my hair is "normal" in these, because I'm still adjusting to the bangs and not yet ready to share them with the world.  Isn't it funny... you get all hyped for a haircut and once it's done you're kinda like, "Meh."  You'll see them next week.  For now I'm going to hide my head.  Just kidding.  Kind of.
