Weekly Wears: Stripes and Sunshine

Being inspired to share outfits is something I have struggled with lately.  It took me several weeks, but I finally realized it's because my closet is totally unorganized and basically exploding.  I have all of my winter things out in addition to my spring/summer wardrobe, and it's completely out of hand.  I've been selling off some things in my Instagram shop and I plan to donate some bags in the next week or so to Goodwill.  It feels refreshing to be on the track to organization.  I'm guessing those of you who have tidy closets are absolutely cringing right now-- try living with me!  I've never been strong in the organization department, but I'm trying to get better!  ;)

Do you have any tips for keeping a tidy closet?  I think my biggest downfall is that I love to keep EVERYTHING I EVER BUY because what if I want to wear it someday?  I know that's crazy and I'm trying to get over it.  I'd love to hear any suggestions you might have!

Mother's Day With My Little Loves

Mother's Day is one of those holidays that seems entirely unnecessary and beautiful all at the same time.  HOPEFULLY someone is showing moms a lot of love every, single day, but it's still nice to have a day to be celebrated.  My sweet little Hope is passing on her handmade thoughtfulness to Poesy, and I was a ball of tears opening their gifts.  Look at this perfect portrait Poesy drew me:


Yep.  I'm dead.  She told me we're holding hands because we're best friends and the heart coming out of my head is all the love I have for her.  I am definitely NOT crying as I type this.  NOT. CRYING.


My people took me for brunch and shopping and sushi and it was pretty much the most wonderful day.  In typical Hope fashion, there were numerous handmade gifts and notes, and she even assembled a basket full of my favorite candies, flowers, lip gloss, and an aches & pains bath soak (hey, those dancing feet get sore).  I so badly want to share the note inside of this blue envelope, but it was so heartfelt and personal I think it needs to stay between the two of us.  These girls make me proud everyday and I'm so thankful to have a hand in raising them.

Mother's Day 2015 was nothing short of magical.  xo.

Little Celebrations

I've been wearing Invisalign since last November.  I wasn't sure if I would talk about it on the blog, but here I am.  My teeth were always something I felt self-conscious about, and I finally decided to pamper myself and take the plunge.  Most of my friends couldn't understand why I even got "adult braces", but it was purely for ME.  This week I put in my last set of trays and I'm excited to almost be done.  Sure it was a bit of an investment, but it was something I always wanted.  So... hooray for little celebrations, and for every-once-in-a-while doing something for YOU.

Weekly Wears: Bike Time!

It's officially time to pull out the ol' bike and enjoy the fresh air!  Actually, this is not an old bike, but a new one from Papillionaire.  I'm pretty much smitten with it.  I'm a sucker for vintage bikes, but all of mine have come with their fair share of problems.  This bike, though-- it's beautiful AND has no issues.  IN LOVE.
