Weekly Wears: Boxcar Children

Weekly Wears Weekly Wears Weekly Wears Weekly Wears Weekly Wears
Oh, to wake up on a Saturday morning and grab your bowl of cereal and flip on cartoons.  Sometimes I really long for those simpler times, but then I remember that, for a grown up, I still watch cartoons A LOT.  Not because of my kids, either-- I really just like them.  We used to give my mom a hard time when we were younger because she never wanted to watch cartoons with us.  She'd always say, "Enjoy it while it lasts, because one day you'll be a grownup and you won't really like cartoons anymore."  Sorry, mom. Still going strong over here.

Skirt: c/o Choies;  Shirt: Forever 21;  Purse: Angela & Roi;  Shoes: c/o ChicWish;  Sunnies: BonLook

At times I get to partner with companies that are doing really cool things.  Angela & Roi is one of them. Each bag they sell has a different colored ribbon for a different.  Every time you purchase something from their shop, they donate to the color coded cause.  My purse is yellow/gold, which gives to the American Childhood Cancer Association.  You can check out all of the colors/causes right here.

I can't believe Friday is here again, but it definitely is!  We have another jam-packed weekend ahead of us, but I'll surely be making time for a big brunch one of these mornings.  It's in the cards!  Happy Friday!

  2. I still watch cartoons! My hubby got me into the My Little Pony fandom (yeah, he's a Brony). Every now and then I feel like rewatching some of my favorite Loony Toons. Also, One Saturday Morning? They should bring that back!

  5. The title of this post made me giggle. I was just thinking about the Boxcar Children series the other day, and thinking about it as an adult, I was like, where was DCF in all this??

Thanks for sharing Angela & Roi too. What a good cause to help support.

  6. Yup still a cartoon lover. While I was pregnant I started watching them alot more. I fell in love with dinosaur train. To bad my wee one only thinks it is just okay. But she does like Ren and Stimpy. Ren and Stimpy and boxcar children books are my childhood. I had a boxcar children cook book even!

  9. Ahaha I'm so glad to hear another grown up likes cartoons. I'll put that Boomerang channel on every once in a while and I genuinely enjoy watching those old cartoons. They'll show ones from the 90s on there too and I love it. I really love your Ren and Stimpy shirt. I wish they actually would show that show on TV from time to time!

  11. I'm still a big fan of cartoons and I'm turning 30 in a couple months! haha! I could blame it on my daughter but that just wouldn't be true. I would much rather watch a funny cartoon then one of those cop shows with murderers and such. No thanks! lol Love your Ren and Stimpy shirt!!

  13. I think it's important to always stay in touch with your inner child! The good thing is, there are so many funny and cute cartoons that are great for adults or both kids and adults. I spent my 26th birthday last year receiving Adventure Time-related presents and eating takeout Chinese with a Bob's Burgers marathon. Actually, as I write this, Futurama is on in the background! :) Cheers to staying young forever!
